NOx Sensor Emulators
'How It Works'
At EMRT Professional, we don't just sell "bypass boxes"—we provide sophisticated digital solutions for complex engineering problems. In the heavy-duty world, NOx sensors are notorious for being the "weak link" in an otherwise reliable engine.

How it Works
To understand the solution, you first have to understand the failure. A factory NOx sensor is a fragile electrochemical device sitting in a very hostile environment (the exhaust stream). It is designed to measure Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) concentrations and report them back to the Engine Control Module (ECM) via the CAN-bus network.
The Point of Failure
Most sensors fail because the internal ceramic cell cracks or becomes "blinded" by soot. When the sensor sends "implausible data" or stops talking entirely, the ECM doesn't take chances—it immediately protects the environment by triggered a Torque Derate (Limp Mode). Your machine, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, suddenly has the power of a lawnmower.
Digital Synthesis vs. Simple Bypassing
A cheap "resistor" won't work on a modern CAN-bus system. Our EMRT Professional emulators are essentially mini-computers. Instead of a physical sensor reacting to chemicals, our emulator utilises advanced algorithms to:
-
Listen: It monitors the engine's real-time data (Load, RPM, and Temperature).
-
Calculate: It determines what a "perfectly functioning" sensor would be reporting at that exact moment.
-
Speak: It transmits that data back to the ECM using the proprietary digital language of your specific engine (Volvo, Scania, Isuzu, etc.)
Total ECM Integration
Because the data sent by the emulator is mathematically perfect and timed to the millisecond, the ECM is "convinced" that the aftertreatment system is operating at 100% efficiency.
-
The Result: The Torque Derate is cancelled, the warning lights disappear, and the machine returns to full operational power.

Why Choose an EMRT Professional Solution?
-
Ruggedised Engineering: Unlike factory sensors, our emulators have no internal ceramic components. They are 100% waterproof and vibration-resistant, designed for the dust of the Pilbara and the humidity of Queensland.
-
Specialised Logic: We don't use "universal" software. Our units are programmed with the specific binary code used by the manufacturer, ensuring a seamless "digital handshake" with your engine.
-
Eliminate the "Cycle of Failure": Replacing a failed NOx sensor with another factory sensor often just starts the timer until the next failure. Our emulator is a one-time, permanent solution to diagnostic gremlins.
Together with our partners, we ensure our emulators are tested against the latest 2026 software updates so they remain 'invisible' to factory diagnostic tools.
