SCR & DPF Emulators

'How It  Works'

If the NOx Sensor is the "eyes" of the emissions system, the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) are the heart and lungs. At EMRT Professional, we specialise in digital solutions that manage these complex systems, allowing your machinery to operate without the constant threat of AdBlue-related downtime.

How it Works

The modern aftertreatment system is a symphony of pumps, injectors, heaters, and pressure sensors. For the engine to run at full power, every single one of these components must "report in" to the Engine Control Module (ECM) perfectly.

The Multi-Component Failure

Unlike a simple sensor, the SCR/DPF system has multiple points of failure:

  • The Pump & Injector: Crystallised AdBlue often blocks injectors or burns out the dosing pump.

  • The Tank: Level and quality sensors are notorious for failing, even when the tank is full of fresh fluid.

  • The DPF: The filter can become "soot-loaded," triggering constant, fuel-wasting regeneration cycles that eventually lead to a permanent "Limp Mode."

Full System Synthesis

An EMRT Professional Emulator handles the entire aftertreatment architecture. Instead of just "faking" one signal, it acts as a virtual aftertreatment controller.

  • The SCR Handshake: Our emulator utilises proprietary code to simulate the AdBlue pump pressure, the injector pulse, and the heater circuits.

  • The DPF Logic: It manages the "Differential Pressure" signals. It tells the ECM that the filter is clean and the exhaust flow is perfect, effectively eliminating the need for forced regenerations.

  • Chemical Balance: It calculates the reduction of NOx and the production of NH3 (Ammonia) in real-time, sending a perfect digital "receipt" back to the ECM.

Automatic Derate Restoration

When these systems fail, the ECM pulls back fuel delivery to protect the environment. Because our emulator provides a complete and mathematically correct digital environment, the ECM believes the system is 100% healthy.

  • The Result: The "Check Engine" or "AdBlue" lights go out, and full torque is restored instantly—often without needing a technician to connect a diagnostic tool.

Why Choose an EMRT Professional Solution?

  • Ruggedised for the Field: Our emulators are housed in 100% waterproof industrial casings. They are built to survive high-vibration environments, including articulated haulers, excavators, and heavy industrial applications.

  • Stage V & Tier 4 Final Ready: We stay ahead of the curve. Our logic is tested against the latest 2026 manufacturer software updates for Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, and more.

  • Clean Installation: Most of our kits are simple Plug and Play, with many supplied with blanking plugs for the original factory modules. This ensures your machine’s wiring harness remains protected from moisture and dust while the emulator is in use.

Managing a DPF system is about more than just clearing a code; it’s about managing the pressure-differential logic. Our emulators ensure that the back-pressure readings reported to the ECM always stay within the "Optimal Flow" window.
